I’ve been into fitness since I was 16 years old. started with playing high school football, wrestling and running track.
Being involved in sports that young then led me to lifting weights and trying to pack on muscle, as I was the smallest guy on the team. only weighing 118 Is, i still managed to be a starter on the football team. Right out of high school, my passion for health and fitness grew even more, so I decided to pursue a career in helping others achieve their health and fitness goals and began to work with 24 hour fitness in 1999.
I began with only one certification: NASM-CPT(Certified personal trainer 1), and the drive and hunger to get better and better with time. From there I grew as a trainer and obtained even more certifications such as: NASM-CPT II, NASM-CES(Corrective exercise specialization), NASM-Performance Enhancement Specialization, and then I also got certified thru ACE(American Council on exercise). With all of these certifications and credentials I was able to help an array of clients. From clients that needed Physical therapy rehabilitation, to mobility and flexibility training, to weight loss and those who wanted to build muscle, just to name a few. After doing it professionally for 10 years already, in 2009 I decided to take my own training and physique to the next level and did my first bodybuilding competition. From this I instantly got bit by the competition bug. Which thus also led me to learn the science of nutrition and I myself began to mentor others and lead and guide them into bodybuilding competitions. I now can say I have mentored many of my previous athletes into becoming IFBB Pros, and also Pros in other federations, as well as a posing coac, have mentroed many posing athletes and aiding in them withearning \their pro card
It now has been almost 24 years of personal training experience and 14 years of bodybuilding, competing and coaching experience, and not one day passes where I STILL don’t find myself as passionate as I was, like when I first started. I can genuinely say, I love health and fitness and that I am passionate in helping others and mentoring them in their fitness journeys into becoming healthier in order for them to become a better version of themselves. It’s only one thing to practice it myself, but it’s another thing to pass on the knowledge and watch others grow and become healthier because of what I taught them and passed on to them.
